Pakistan,India should be cautious as Al Qaeda ,ISIS plan to install caliphate in South Asia

A very dangerous scenario is emerging in South Asia with Pakistan civilian government and Indian government are fighting a bitter battle and appear playing in the hands of terror groups operating in the region including Al Qaeda and ISIS.
With several terror groups including Hafiz Saeed's Jamaat ud-Dawa and other non state actors in Pakistan in connivance with ISI and Pakistan Army are working on a single agenda to capture Kashmir but the Pakistan establishment and military are unaware of the ulterior motives of all the terror groups including the most barbaric ISIS that aims to establish caliphate in Pakistan, AFghanistan and India .

While China is making a right attempt to bring the prosperity in the region i.e. Pakistan-Afghanistan through economic projects which has the ability to mold the young generation by taking part in the infrastructure projects as terror groups are also eyeing young generation for more recruits.

Poverty and unemployment play the key role in expanding terrorism and every government from President Ashraf Ghani in Afghanistan,Prime Minister Narendra Modi in India and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in Pakistan must ensure that the youngsters are provided with jobs and propaganda on religious fundamentalism should be uprooted.

Al-Qaeda's mission is evidently clear by the fresh video released on online jihadist forums in which terror group releaved that the key to victory in Kashmir lies in waging war on Indian cities of Kolkata, Bangalore and New Delhi.

“India is already using 600,000 troops just to hold on to Kashmir,” Usama Mahmoud, the group’s second-in-command in the Indian subcontinent, claimed.“If it is attacked in Kolkata, Bangalore and New Delhi, it will come to its senses and release its grip on Kashmir.

Another new organisation that calls itself al-Qaraar released another video pledging its alliance to the Islamic State group and its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The video featured an armed militant, who identified himself as Abu-ul-Braa Kashmiri, urging Zakir Musa, the leader of an al-Qaeda affiliate,to join the Islamic State group.

Taliban and other terror groups will eventually pledge their allegiance to the Islamic State group due to fear if losing their identity and it will be a grave situation for the Indian subcontinent/ South Asia with Jihadists which were shifting from Middle East due to bombardment by a coalition of 40 countries are now seen congregating in this part of the region. Thus it is pertinent to mention that all the concerned countries including AFghanistan, Pakistan, India , China and Bangladesh should join hands to defeat the menace of Islamic State's Wilayah Khorasan (or Khorasan province, also known as ISIS-Khorasan) or The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant – Khorasan
Province.

While Taliban who are in favour of entering the government should be given chance as Russian Special Presidential Envoy for Afghanistan and Foreign Ministry's Director of the Second Asian Department Zamir Kabulov said that the Afghan government must engage in constructive dialogue with the armed opposition "based on conditions acceptable for both sides."

Meanwhile,Vice Chairman of China’s Central Military Commission Gen Xu Qiliang said China's army is ready to strengthen relations with Afghanistan's military and to enhance cooperation in the spheres of military exchanges and counter-terrorism,

"China’s armed forces are ready to cooperate with the Afghan army…, and to continuously increase pragmatic cooperation in the field of military exchanges and counter-terrorism," Xu said during a meeting with Afghanistan’s Acting Defense Minister Tariq Shah Bahrami.

Will terminate Iran nuclear deal if Congress and allies fail to fix flaws: Trump

United States and North Korea have been engaged in increasingly threatening rhetoric since last two months and now President Donald Trump has initiated new war with Iran on nuclear deal by threatening to terminate the 2015 historic deal if Congress and Washington allies fail to fix serious flaws in it.

Rouhani warns US of isolation over Trump's decision of decertifying Iran's nuclear deal

Iran on Friday threatened US of isolation on President Trump's announcement of terminating the nuclear deal, saying, the accord could not be revoked by one country  and has vowed to strengthen the country's defences in the wake of fresh sanctions.

Address that was aired on state television,President Hassan Rouhani stressed that the deal cannot be amended and no new clauses can be added to it and stressed  that Iran remain committed to all international accords and would continue to fight against terrorism prevailing in the region.

Insisting that its ballistic missile programme will expand despite pressure from the United States,President Rouhanisaid, "Tehran will remain committed to the accord, but only while Iranian national interests are preserved."

Rouhani said Iran will never hesitate to give a “proper answer” if its interests are violated, Rouhani warned.

Rouhani said the US President’s speech was full of "baseless accusations" against Iran.“The Iranian nation has not and will never bow to any foreign pressure... Iran and the deal are stronger than ever,” Rouhani said  in a televised address from Tehran.

The Iranian president dismissed America’s anti-nuclear rhetoric, saying the US is the only country to have ever used an atomic bomb.

He also decried the newly announced US sanctions against the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps, which the US branded a terrorist organization.

No matter the restrictions, “Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps will continue its fight against regional terrorists," Rouhani said. Trump has accused Iran of destabilising activities in the region and called for tougher sanctions against its elite military wing, the  Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). The US president also called on allies to help impose sanctions that would target Tehran's ballistic missile programme.

India-China standoff: PM Modi cannot blame Nehru-Gandhi family

Whenever Prime minister wants to implement a policy he allows his ministers and lawmakers to issue controversial statements  and create a confusion in society. The latest allegation by BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi is that  Nehru-Gandhi family and the Abdullah family are responsible for the incumbent crisis in Kashmir.BJP workers, leaders  and ministers are working on a strategy apparently dictated by PM Modi for creating an atmosphere which shows all the losses in Kashmir as well as during 1962 Indo-China war and the present plight in India-China relations were the result of mishandling  and wrong policies of the previous Congress prime ministers starting from Nehru himself.

Prime Minister who assumed power in 2014 did not focus on the strengthening of the defence arsenal  and preparedness for engaging against the crisis in Kashmir  and border areas. Inspite of being aware that Pakistan  and the terrorists were in the know that Gujarat riots happened under his chief ministership. On the other hand Prime Minister himself, ministers  and his party lawmakers were enagged in issuing excited statements against Pakistan and China without making any preparations on the defence front.

Actually Modi government is claiming credit for isolating Pakistan but the realty is  quite different as U.S. in its 2015 country report on terrorism has stated that Pakistan has failed to act substantially against terror groups including Haqqani network that the same language has been repeated in the 2016 report by U.S. President Donald Trump.Infact, Pakistan was isolated during the period of Manmohan Singh led government. Now, Modi government after becoming an ally of America is working on a similar approach to deal with China-India standoff . But first of all Modi government should make its country politically, economically and militarily strong enough to present itself as a strong force to china and other rivals in the neighbourhood.

Working on a strategy to accuse opposition of previous leaders or former prime ministers will only weaken the country as Modi 's dictatorial style of functioning wil always become a soft target for rivals and the government itself will be suffering  with misapprehensions.

The strong language being used by China and the PLA threatening India to withdraw its forces from the Doklam area should be taken seriously lest India suffers reverses in which case the blame will be entirely on PM Narendra Modi who is at the helms of affairs at present and nobody will listen to his excuse of pointing fingers to the old Congress leadership.

Kashmir unrest: Conflict between Modi and Mehbooba;Terror strikes and stone -pelters

Jammu and Kashmir has been trending for nearly a year for many reasons:
  • Crisis in Kashmir due to protests by Kashmiri people including school girls and second attacks on Indian forces by Pakistani terrorists,
  • Modi government’s failure to bring normalcy in Kashmir and to build trust with the Kashmiris,
  • not allowing the Mehbooba Mufti government to  hold a dialogue with the different sections of the people
  • General Bipin Rawat , the chief of the Army staff ,warned the stone pelters against interfering with Army's operations
Conflict between Central govt and state govt over resolving Kashmir unrest
The protests started after the killing of Burhan Wani,a Kashmiri militant  and then the situation worsened and it took a drastic turn when a video of Army tying a civilian infront of jeep went viral depicting heavy handedness of Indian security forces. The Central government has also adopted tough line to deal with protesters.  as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh declined Mehbooba Mufti ‘s suggestion for initiating a dialogue with the sections of the society including separatists saying that dialogue will .be a useless exercise when there is stone pelting  and increase in militant violence in the Valley

There is an anger among Kashmiris that has infused alienation in them . Mehbooba  has been clamoring  for help from Modi to help ease tensions in Kashmir but in vain. The latest decision of the Supreme court asking the government and the security forces to step back and hold dialogue . The union government made its stand clear  and reiterated that there will not be any talks with separatists  or those raising slogans of "accession or Azadi" in Jammu  and Kashmir and talks to restore normalcy was possible only with the legally recongnised stakeholders or political parties excluding separatists.

Pakistan has been contentiously raising the Kashmir issue at international forums and this time it was also raised in UN General Assembly session in New York .Minister in Pakistan's permanent mission to the UN Masood Anwar  raised the Kashmir issue in his statement to the UN General Assembly session of the Committee on information on April 25.

Modi government must understand the factors that led to such an unrest in Kashmir, consequences for the crisis to explode  and initiatives /steps to defuse the tensions .Adding fuel to fire was the historic low polling percentage in bypolls in Kashmir that recorded as low as 3%.
Modi government must understand the gravity of the situation  and resolve the issue lest it goes out of control.
Kashmir torn between Terror strikes V/s ISIS inspired youth
By adopting hard approach by government  more  and more youths are joining jihadist groups as there are some ISIS fighters working in Kashmir  and reports have emerged that Hizbul Mujahideen commander Zakir Rashid Bhat in his video stated that the militancy should not aim to create a new nation of Kashmir  or "Azadi" but for the supremacy of Islam.

The terrorists from Hafiz Saeed 's Jamaat-ud Dawa ,Lashkar-e- Taiba chief Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi and Jaish-e-Mohammad have joined hands to organise and execute  terror strikes on military institutions and along the LOC in Jammu and Kashmir and targeting the Indian security forces.

Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the UN has stated that US President Donald Trump is considering to mediate in resolving the Kashmir issue for defusing tensions between India  and Pakistan.
Recently, US State Department report on Human rights violation has accused “Indian forces of reaching a new low in the long history of alleged  human rights abuses  in Kashmir when they beat and then tied  a 24-year shawl weaver to the front of a jeep on April9 using him as a human shield against stone throwing crowds."

Trump, Putin move missiles for North Korean War

War clouds are gathering over North Korea as Pyongyang threatens to launch "all-out war" if United States goes ahead  with military action. The Pentagon and Trump administration are going to the point of brinkmanship in pressurising denuclearization of North Korea but officials fear that  any mishap in the shape of intercepting missiles  could lead to a sudden breakout  of war.

President Trump is working on several highly controversial options specifically military options against North Korea. But there is a general consensus among US,Japan and South Korea that all options are on the table including tougher sanctions.

The defence secretary,James Mattis has briefed all the options to the Congress
1) USS Carl Vinson nuclear carrier strike group that includes Aegis -equipped destroyers is on the way for deployment to waters off the Korean Peninsula.
2) ANother  top secret option is to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong un  who is highly unpredictable  and war-mongering leader.
3) There is also an option to shoot-down North Korean missile during a test
4) To allow US and South Korean special forces (Spartan) to perform a special task of sabotaging nuclear systems.
5) Japanese prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced emergency plans for refugees from the Korean Peninsula.

The tensions between North Korea and US and its allies escalated with the provocative statement from either side.
After visiting Demilitarized Zone,Vice President Mike Pence said," We will defeat any attack and we will meet any use of conventional or nuclear weapons with an overwhelming  and effective response."
North Korea's deputy UN ambassador Kim In Ryong threatened during a news conference that "US has turned the Korean Peninsula into the "the world's biggest hotspot" and creating a dangerous situation in which a thermonuclear war may break out at any moment."

As DPRK conducted two nuclear tests and 24 ballistic missile tests last year , Trump administration declared an end to Obama's " strategic patience policy."

If the Trump administration opts for any of the above said military alternatives  than it would risk  a high escalation that United States might not be able control  and that may lead to devastating consequences  to US and its allies South Korea  and Japan.

As Trump has asked Chinese President Xi Jinping to use its "unique influence" to persuade Pyongyang to abandon its nuclear weapons.

Another major dimension has emerged with Russia dispatching Vladivostok ,eight miles from the North Korean border. The Russian and Chinese navy ships have been seen shadowing US fleet that threatens North Korean.

The US President who launched 59Tomahawk missiles on Syria just two days after the chemical strike  and after one week US military dropped its largest non-nuclear bomb GBU-43B MOAB-Massive Ordinance Air Blast on an ISIS tunnel complex in eastern Afghanistan shows that US can impose military consequences for any step that North Korea takes which  Trump  has already described as "unacceptable".
