Erdogan re-establishing Neo-Ottoman empire

The modern Muslim republic of Turkey that was a member of NATO is being transformed from a Parliamentary system  into an executive presidency under Recep Tayyip Erdogan's plan to amass unprecedented power.
Erdogan plans to transform the Turkey into a "Sultanate" on the lines it was during the times of Ottoman Empire.Erdogan is fulfilling his vision of establishing neo-Ottoman empire with Caliphate reborn led by Turkish Sultan .For Muslims the Caliphate carries a message of salvation through an international Muslim solidarity.
Recently,Turkish Parliament has passed constitutional amendments that will allow Erdogan to consolidate all powers--executive, legislative  and judicial.Through these amendments Erdogan will have the power to appoint two-thirds of the country's most senior judges ,further undermining checks and balances  in a country where Islamists and nationalists have succeeded in mounting a crackdown on politicians, socialists and the press.

Under the new law the Parliament will have little power  to hold the president and his cabinet accountable .Further,Turkey will hold a referendum in May 2017 on constitutional changes that will expand powers of the president  and will then hold presidential and parliamentary polls together in 2019. Thus with new system in place Erdogan will be a NATO member  and EU candidate  as an Islamic country till 2029.
On the pretext of a failed coup in July 2016,Erdogan declared a state of emergency and arrested, sacked and suspended 130,000 people and adopted systematic measures to neutralize judiciary, press, opposition parties, military and academia that challenges him.

Under a systematic strategy ,Erdogan managed to enter the Syrian crisis with the support of Russia  and US by shifting sides with Putin and Obama. Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov had pointed out that "by shooting down Russian  plane on a counter -terrorist mission of the Russian Aerospace Force in Syria and one that did not violate Turkey's airspace, the Turkish government has virtually sided  with ISIS."Lavrov stated "Turkey's actions appear premeditated, planned  and undertaken with a specific objective."
It is a well known fact that Erdogan's son Bilal Erdogan carries ISIS crude oil to European  and other international markets in exchange for hundreds of millions of dollars that ultimately turned into ISIS revenue. Bilal's maritime companies  are transporting oil from seized Iraqi oil wells and ISIS smuggled crude oil in Japan-bound oil tankers, Sumeyye Erdogan -the daughter of the Turkish President runs a secret hospital camp over the Syrian border where wounded ISIS jihadists are being treated.
Turkey is bombing Kurds in the name of ISIS and deploying Turkish troops in Syria  and Iraq and thus considerably expanding his forces in pursuit of Neo-Turkish Empire .Thus Ataturk dreams of a secular modern Turkey have vanished.
