What a thumping victory of BJP ! Incerdible

A history is created again after thirty years. After 1984 a single party with a clear majority is coming to power. Does this mean an end to the coalition era? Is it a tuning point as a new chapter in Indian politics unfolds? Will Modi live up to the expectations of the people that he has now raised considerably. Will there be a riddance from unemployment and inflation? Are good days really knocking at our doors? For the first time in the history of BJP the party has registered an absolute majority on its own  due to Narendra Modi's wave. This is important as this marks the end of coalition government era. The Congress has sunk to an all time low .

Modi will  take oath on May 21.BJP President Rajnath Singh today gave the credit for the party's performance in Lok Sabha polls to Narendra Modi, saying he has the capability to lead the country.
Full celebrations were seen at the BJP headquarters at 11 Ashoka Road  in New Delhi  as BJP  recorded  an unprecedented victory after a gap of 10 years since the party-led NDA was in government.

Congratulating Modi, he said, "Post Independence this is the first time a party has become a bigger party than Congress"."I would appeal all my workers in this atmosphere of festivity, should restrain from using any provocative language," Singh said while addressing a crowd at the party office here
.
Earlier BJP-led National Democratic Alliance formed government at the centre from 1998 to 2004, headed by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, it was the first non-Congress government to last a full term in office.
After a grueling campaign and the victory, it remains to be seen how Narendra Modi implements the promises he made to the people who are actually looking forward to the ‘achhe din’’.

BJP won this election after shunning away from its touchy  core issues like  building a Ram temple in Ayodhya and the implementation of a uniform civil code for all Indians and emphasizing on good governance, development, employment opportunities  and giving importance to national security in the wake of China's growing military presence  in South Asia  and existing terror bases in Pakistan  .

Modi's victory is well deserving but he will have to be aggressive in action from the start of his term  as Indian populace is hopeful for much desired change and  is reeling under rampant corruption and high inflation.  Modi will have to convince the minorities, especially the Muslims, that development and progress will be an all-inclusive agenda. Narendra Modi has already initiated a debate over the special status granted to the province of Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian-administered region of Kashmir, which has been a flashpoint of dispute between India and Pakistan since partition in 1947, has a special status under Article 370 of the Indian Constitution.
