BSF Jawan Video:Stone hearted response from the Indian government

Political establishment displays lack of pain when our soldiers die on our borders due to terrorist attacks  and today they have given ample proof to distort former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri’s slogan of  “Jai Jawan Jai kisan” as our soldiers are dying on the borders and farmers are committing suicide.
A BSF jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav of 29 Battalion uploaded a video on  Facebook showing substandard and insufficient  food being supplied to them where as they are deployed on the front-line to defend our borders and are termed as the First Line of Defence of Indian Territories.

Inspite of his raising this issue to senior officers and ministers he was harassed  and humiliated and denied promotion. He also made an appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene  in the matter to ensure so that soldiers morale does not get affected. While the officers who benefited financially from the pilferage in the supply chain are roaming Scot-free even though the pilferage in the large number of paramilitary/military forces  run into astronomical figures and army funds are being sapped as if by termites.
The IG BSF D.K Upadhyaya told that “constable Tej Bahadur Yadav was court-martialed in 2010 but keeping in view his family and his children , he was not dismissed from the service but was given a rigorous imprisonment of 89 days.”

But Home minister Rajnath Singh ordered an inquiry into the entire episode in a very routine manner. This shows that they are shooting the messenger rather than the culprit.
What tide the hands of Home Minister in taking prompt action against the authorities responsible for supply of substandard and insufficient food to the BSF personnels. And what makes prime minister Narendra Modi keep mum even after the scam concerning supply of substandard food to the BSF jawans who actually brave the harsh weather conditions as well as the onslaughts of the terrorists from across the border .
Modi's bragging about eliminating corruption by demonetization and making India digital only shows his empty denouncements which carry no meaning on the ground.
It is a known fact that army personnels who work in Army supply Core retire with lot of assets disproportionate to their known sources of income and scams related to pilferage of food and liquor  are rampant in the various military institutions like Border Security Force,Central Industrial Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo-Tibetan Police Force,National Security guard,Sashastra Seema Bal, Special Protection Group, Railway Protection Force.
It is strange that the assets of such officers acquired through criminal activity are never probed.
It is the right time for the Indian government to focus on the working conditions of the armed forces as they have to compete with the high-tech armies of  other developed countries and brutal terrorist groups. The government should make a provision to give one week leave to every soldier after every three weeks of hard duty so as to boost their morale  and keep them energetic.
