US to confront Chinese naval threat encircling US allies including India

War is on between World powers for Naval supremacy and President-elect Donald Trump is set to propose the building of biggest ever US Naval strength since the end of the Cold War  to ensure its domination in the event of naval warfare.Russia, China and Iran navies are capable of posing a naval challenge to the American sea control.

 

 

China on its own has expanded its naval forces many-fold aggressively in the Indian ocean ,Pacific Ocean including South China Sea and Middle East through Gwadar Port in Balochistan (Pakistan).

With Chinese nuclear submarine of Type 093 Shang of most advanced class had been docked at the Karachi harbour in 2015 that enables it to carry out close surveillance of the Indian warships in the region.With its aim to encircle US allies including India , China is set to deliver submarine to Bangladesh and is the number one supplier of military hardware to the country , several naval warships have been docked at Gwadar port  under the China-Pakistan Economic corridor and the Chinese One belt -One road initiative , China is finalising a 99-year lease of Hambantota port with Srilanka to dock its warships and built its colony adding considerable strength to its naval presence in that country,Beijing reinforced military ties with strategically located Mynamar and deep relations with India’s neighbour Nepal .

 

India has only attempted to strike an alliance with United States as a major defence partner to counter the Chinese threats in Sea and Land. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's approach in accessing the Chinese threat appears superficial and insufficient and thus requires major overhaul. President Xi Jinping is the first Chinese leader after Mao Zedong who is the General Secretary of the Communist Party of and chairman of the  Central Military Commission. China is embroiled in a maritime dispute  with south-east Asian countries-Brunei, Malaysia,the Philippines  and Vietnam as well as with Taiwan over territorial claims in the South China Sea.

 

After Donald Trump criticized China for increasing influence in South China Sea,Chinese ships stepped up patrols in the territorial waters of the disputed islands ie Senkakus and Diaoyu under the control of Japan in the East China Sea .

 

 

But Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe showed his diplomatic skills by being the first to meet Donald and congratulate him on his election victory.
