Trump'sNSA McMaster assures the defeat of ISIS-K,Taliban in Afghanistan

As soon as US National Security Advisor General H.R. McMaster arrived in Afghanistan, he issued warning to the ISIS-K as well as to the members of Taliban who refuse to join the peace talks that they will be defeated on the battlefields. He was revealed that US President Donald Trump may explore diplomatic, military and economic responses to Taliban and ISIS in Afghanistan.

His visit comes in the wake of America's largest non-nuclear bomb GBu-43/B MOAB was dropped on Islamic State Khorasan hideouts in Nanghahar (tora Bora region) in eastern Afghanistan ,confirming the killing of nearly 100 militants .

McMaster also conveyed a stern message to neighbouring Pakistan that they should not against the terrorists in a selective manner  and should pursue the interest of their country through diplomacy  and shun the use of proxies and violence.

As Trump's National security Advisor McMaster held detailed discussions with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on the issues of security, stability and counter terrorism efforts  as well as reforms to tackle corruption.

US-led Nato troops and  AFghan security and defense forces have been conducting  military operations  in 14 provinces of the country where ISIS-K are active in league with Taliban and Al-Qaeda fighters.

Afghan security and defense forces had already launched two military campaigns : Operations Hamza  to eliminate ISIS-K in Nangarhar and Kunar  and Operation Khalid to isolate insurgents across Afghanistan.

The resultant effect of the US military bomb ie Massive Ordinance Air Blast  will be known after  a month's period as the devastation is similar to that of a small nuclear artillery shell. The 11-tonnes of TNT warhead bursts about 6feet above the ground.

The daesh or ISIL-Khorasan Province has been engaged in creating tensions between the government's of Afghanistan  and Pakistan  as well as between the governments of India  and Pakistan .

While Pakistan and Afghanistan have long been accusing each other of sheltering militants-,the Tehrik-e-Taliban factions have since joined ISIL in 2014 to form the terror group of Khorasan Province which was also joined by Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU) in August 2015.The strongholds of Khorasan group includes Helmand, Farah, Nangarhar provinces. TTP commanders of Khurram and Khyber regions and Peshawar and hangu district defeated from TTP to pledged allegiance  to Abu Bakr al- Baghdadi in 2014 .From 2015 onward Many Indians have moved to Afghanistan through Bangladesh  and Nepal to join Khorasan terror group.

Though McMaster has not spelled out the further course of action by the Trump administration but Russia has been long engaged in settling the decades old Afghanistan conflict..

Russia's main aim is to ensure that Central Asian Republics -Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are  not affected by the instability of Afghanistan as ISIS-K and  Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU) continues to be a potential threat to Russia in Chechanya   and the region.
