PM Narendra Modi’s diplomacy fails to lift him in dire straits

Already engaged in tensions with neighbouring Nepal and Pakistan,Prime Minister Narendra Modi is facing image crisis at home  and is failing considerably in his foreign trips  including his recent 5-day trip in US.

He faces a daunting task in the Bihar elections.  Moreover his diplomacy and Foreign policy  failed to  gather support  for India’s bid for permanent UN Security Council seat .

While he tried  to seek investment  and  business  from American corporates but was reminded  about the prevailing poor business environment in India. The captions of  American  financial  companies  were loudly seeking  immediate  change  to facilitate  the transfer  of their business  to India . The past instances  of double taxation, red tape and other bottlenecks  were specifically brought  to the notice of visiting Indian prime Minister Modi though he  repeatedly assured  them his firm believe in ‘ deregulation’ meaning  that the global market forces would have  a full play in the  immediate future . His this rhetoric  however  sadly did not create  the desired credibility  as evidenced  by his failure  to get  tangible  results in securing  the transfer  of business and investments  from US..

Much  was expected  out of PM Modi-president Obama meeting  but differences  soon cropped  up on the issue of Afghanistan-Pakistan policy . Modi’s commitment  with regard to combating climate change  and creating  appropriate  conditions  for investment  by American companies  in India  that could generate  employment  did not have the desired outcome.

While Modi displayed  his visit as being successful  by meeting NRIs in USA ,people at home  are suffereing  massive unemployment, high inflation and suicides by farmers and youth .

Questions were raised   about Modi’s visit to a private Facebook office generally  not within the scope of a visiting  head of government.More so, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook has been charged with fraud wherein a developer has alleged that the billionaire failed to keep his promise of introducing him to Silicon Valley’s elite as part of a land deal.

He failure  of this front  as  well as looming challenges poised by Hardik Patel agitation and communal happenings which compelled  Vice president Hamid Ansari  to say “Muslims  have a right  to live in India’ does not bode well  as the Bihar elections  are almost round the corner.

The dadri  lynching incident has reached United Nations office as Senior Samajwadi Party leader Mohammed Azam Khan  has sought UN intervention to contain targeting of Muslims in India. This letter is  a black spot on Narendra Modi government
