PM Modi silent on Dadri lynching but attacks Lalu on beef remarks

Sensing that Yadavs and Kurmis vote bank is shifting  to Grand alliance ,Prime Minister Narendra Modi  tried to divide them by targetting Lalu Prasad Yadav  on beef remarks but remained silent on the lynching of a Muslim in Dadri over rumours of eating beef .

While campaigning in Bihar ,Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at the grand alliance of JD(U)-RJD-Congress led by Nitish Kumar, saying  "They looted Bihar for 60 years and now they have formed a Mahaswarthbandhan (alliance of convenience)."

Wading into the beef controversy,Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked RJD supremo Lalu Prasad over his 'Hindus also eat beef remark', saying he has insulted people of Bihar and particularly his community "Yaduvanshis" who had brought him to power.
Bihar stalwarts Lalu and Nitish attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his  deafing silence on the lynching of a Muslim  in Dadri .Nitish even accused  the BJP of trying to "import" the beef controversy into Bihar to polarize voters.
Voting  for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections will be held on October 12 and BJP  has revised its strategy to divide Muslim-Yadav combination as Muslims are not likely to vote for Asaduddin Owaisi  as that will lead to communal polarisation of votes  and  will be shifting to grand allinace3 of Nitish, lalu and congress.Muslims fear that voting to Owaisi may lead to communalisation  and Dadri type incidents will increase in near future.
Modi government is exposing its  cowardice and incompetence by resorting to violence over beef ban . Interestingly, they resort to the worst possible means to show their best. Recently an Independent MLA Sheikh Abdul Rashid was assaulted in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly for hosting  a beef party .
While attacking Lalu in Munger rally ,Modi said  a "shaitan (devil) has entered a human body" and  Lalu cannot absolve himself of his beef remarks by claiming that it was the "devil" (shaitan) on his tongue which made him say it, he said, "I want to know how the shaitan got the address (of Lalu)...he recognises that it was the shaitan in a similar manner as people recognise their relatives."
"What all did he eat? It (the remarks) insulted the Yaduvanshis... Laluji these Yaduvanshis helped you to come to
power. What all Yadavs eat...is it not an insult of Yadavs and Bihar?" he said.
When Narendra Modi was anointed as the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate in September 2013, he repeatedly took a dig over Manmohan Singh for his silence on domestic issues  and  over tensions with Pakistan or China . Now Modi  is silent on  every issue be it on External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and chief minister of BJP-ruled Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje for helping Lalit Modi, Vyapam scam, Ghar vapsi, controversial statements by BJP legislators  and now on beef ban and attack on Muslim in Dadri or in Jammu and kashmir , ceasefire violations along the line of Control is such a common practice by Pakistani forces  that no solution to the cross border firing is being reached.

Questioning the silence of the Prime Minister on “this reign of terror”, including the lynching last week of a man in Dadri over rumours of beef consumption,Several writers : Nayantara Sahgal,Ashok Vajpeyi, former chairperson of the Lalit Kala Akademi, Uday Prakash returned their  Sahitya Akademi award.

The echo of dadri lynching incident has reached the United Nations as senior UP minister Azam Khan has sought the intervention of United Nations to look into the “miseries” of minorities in India and said " the real essence of freedom and secularism is under threat.". In a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Khan also accused the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) of planning to convert “secular and pluralistic India” into a “majoritarian theocratic nation as Hindu Rashtra”.
Recalling the contribution of Jayaprakash Narayan, who died on October 8, 1979, Modi said: "The same people who talk about J P Narayan have sided with the Congress party, that arrested him. They are practising 'politics of opportunism'."

"Congress had turned the country into a jail. J P Narayan had the courage to even fight death. He sacrificed his life for the country. He inspired a whole new generation of youth in the country."
Alleging that Congress is trying to make a "backdoor" entry into Bihar politics by aligning with JD (U) and RJD after having lost its own relevance, Modi questioned both Lalu and Nitish over their commitment to 'JP' who fought against
Congress his entire life.
