China takes assertive stand over sovereignty issues

way China annexed South China Sea,it is similarly trying to seize Arunachal Pradesh from India.Asserting its growing economic  and geopolitical clout , China has summoned the executives of  international companies such as Inditex-owned Zara and Delta Air Lines for "illegaly" listing Taiwan and Tibet as separate country on their websites  and demanding to respect the government’s position on long-standing territorial disputes from Taiwan to Tibet. China’s Civil Aviation Administration asked Delta to list Taiwan and Tibet as located in western China, as nations.
International companies operating in China should respect its sovereignty and territorial integrity, state broadcaster CCTV said, citing Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said  he was not aware of the matter, adding that his country  has never recognised Arunachal Pradesh as a state in India. China claims the area as part of southern Tibet.

It's China, the world power in the making not India which US President Donald Trump has wrongly described to please Modi .What to talk of India, China has surpassed US as the world's largest trading nation, and is ahead of India in various sectors such as information technology, automobiles, military, security, industries, pharmaceuticals etc.

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is busy bonding his friendship with US and its allies like Israel and boosting off that with his foreign trips he has upgraded the status of India in the world by shouting his slogan "New India".Modi's slogan of New India is a misnomer and even confirmed by ARmy Chief General  Bipin Rawat when asked to answer on the increased activity by the Chinese along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

Accepting that China was exerting pressure along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), Rawat said “China is a powerful country but we are not a weak nation” and India would defend every such intrusion. There is no settled border between the neighbours and the 3,488-km LAC is the de facto boundary.

ANother fear that has cropped up that Doklam crisis may return in winters “They may come back here after winter or somewhere else. Should they come again, we will see what to do. In the west of Torsa nullah called northern Doklam, the People’s Liberation Army of China has occupied the area. At the actual spot the two sides have disengaged. The gaps that still exist in terms of poverty and education will be filled up on the lines of Chinese President Xi Jinping's vision.China lags in terms of foreign direct investment flowing into the country.
“One Belt, One Road” (OBOR), also known as the Belt and Road Initiative, has been a cornerstone of Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s foreign policy  to capture center stage in economic and political influence across Asia and Europe.
