Conversion of surgical strikes into votes: Desperate move by Modi

BJP has proved Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi’s comments on surgical strikes right as party national vice-president Om Mathur categorically advised saffron
party workers and leaders to convert Modi’s surgical strikes into votes but he is ignorant of the fact that ‘National security’ is the bounden duty of the government and is never used as a political issue.

Actually the BJP was desperately in search of an issue that could enhance their image as an extraordinary achievement to somehow win the election in the wake of series of terrorist attacks and continuous ceasefire violations along with infiltrations which was leading to fall in their popularity ratings and then PM Modi finds the requisite opportunity in Uri attack and our Indian Army carried out the surgical strikes.

Then turn by turn top BJP leaders started patting their backs for punishing Pakistan for Uri attack. Now, huge posters and hoardings have come up in Varanasi and major areas in Uttar Pradesh featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Lord Ram and Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar as Hanuman to take credit for the Army’s successful operations who had sacrificed their lives with valour.

Rahul Gandhi observations that Modi and BJP are harvesting soldiers sacrifices into votes for wining the 2017 Uttar Pradesh elections was absolutely correct.

Uttar Pradesh elections are very crucial for BJP as it sends maximum MPs to the Lok Sabha and the outcome will impact the remaining term of the Modi government and that will also influence his chances to return to power in 2019.

Now Congress President Sonia Gandhi should publicise the ‘marketing of Army’s surgical strikes by BJP and cashing it into votes ‘ and further attack the ruling party for publicising the Indian Army operations which was not at all used by previous regimes as a matter of India’s policy to avoid escalation of terrorist activities from Pakistan side.

One can understand the desperate moments of Narendra Modi when Indian people are frustrated over the issues of price rise, unemployment and the deteriorating law and order etc, Modi is making a tactical move of diverting their attention from real issues to National Security issue which is the fundamental duty of the government.

Moreover, PM Modi spent billions of dollars for foreign tours in two years and by offering credit lines to countries but achieved nothing as his diplomacy at the hour of need to isolate Pakistan failed miserably.

it is therefore requested that Mr Modi should kindly allow the Army to do their job and himself remain focused on the real issues.
