PM Modi's move to probe terror attack in coordination with Pakistan boomerangs

With Pakistan JIT declaring that January 2,2016 Pathankot air force base terror attack was staged by Modi government has cost India dearly .

It is curious how Prime Minister Narendra Modi cancelled Foreign Secretary-level talks that were scheduled to take place in Lahore on January 15 on the basis that Pakistan takes tough action against those responsible for the Pathankot attack and then suddenly from diplomatic level instead opted for much risky proposition of inviting the Pakistan’s Joint investigation team that also involved ISI officer to India to probe the Pathankot attack which was infact planned by Pakistani terrorists along with ISI.

This speaks volumes of immaturity on the part of Modi government that also resulted in exposing weakest points in our security arrangements at most vulnerable areas of defence .

This decision of PM Modi will have grave consequences for India in the larger prespective :

This has virtually destroyed the good work done by previous UPA government in securing our defence positions along International border and LoC and it took 10 years by Congress government to convince the international community to declare Pakistan as a “terrorists state “ in which ISI and Pakistan Army are working intricately with terror groups to destablise India and Afghanistan .And Lashkar-e-Taiba’s audacious 11/26 attack in Mumbai catalysed a convergence of action between US and India and among other global capitals about the threat posed by all groups operating in and from Pakistan and to deal with the menace.

Why did Modi gave a clean chit to Pakistan ISI and government officials by asking them to investigate India’s terror attack . Now , on what context India will argue in United Nations that Pakistan army and ISI are working jointly with terror groups to attack India .

Modi’s adventurous decision of allowing Pakistan’s spy agency official shows Foreign policy failure .

Where as Pakistan has succeeded in whitewashing India’s previous government endeavors of getting Pakistan declared as being “the epicenter of terrorism”.

Modi also cherished  a hope that India’s action will be reciprocated by Pakistan  and National Investigation Agency even asked Pakistani Joint Investigation Team that they want access to Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Maulana Masood Azhar and his brother Rauf to which they denied.

NIA chief Sharad Kumar said his team would want to visit Bahawalpur in Pakistan where the Jaish-e-Mohammad is headquartered as they believes that JeM chief  is the mastermind behind the Pathankot attack. But Pakistani Joint Investigation Teamrefused to reciprocate by saying that ” We are here to investigate the invovement of the jaish  but the trial will be conducted in a pakistani court  and where is the need for granting India access to Masood Azhar.”

Meanwhile the arrest of ex naval officer Kulbhushan Jadhav in Balochistan has added strength to their accusations of India fomenting trouble in Pakistan’s territory. Kulbhushan Jadhav has allegedly confessed to being an agent of India’s Research and Analysis Wing spy service.

Pakistan has also sent  the files of naval officer along with his confession to all the countries  to Put India  in the Docks
